Blackpool Folk Club

Whilst holidaying in Blackpool for a few days we attended the Blackpool Folk Club which is held in the Clarence Pub, Preston New Road Blackpool. We had a fantastic evening with music provided by local band "Four in a Row" and their guests for the evening, who were called "Thistle". The atmosphere was friendly and the standard of singing was excellent. In particular the fiddle player with the band Thistle I have yet to hear better.

Welcome to the Anchor Folk Club Blog

The Anchor Folk Club holds sessions of live music from 8:30pm to 11:00pm every Thursday Night in the Blue Anchor Public House , in High Road , Byfleet , Surrey . The club has its own web site at http://www.anchorfolk.org.uk where the schedule shows whether a Singers' night or a Guest is performing on each Thursday .
While I, as Webmaster for the site , have managed to update the site regularly , Mike Peach who runs the club has asked me if I could Include a section where comments and feedback on the Nights could be included . The creation of this blog page is a simple route to providing the possibility of feedback to those attending the Club .
Are people happy to use this blog to comment on the acts?
